Styled Photo Shoot with PM Photo MKE
The ring designs I created for this styled photo shoot are based on the sacred union between two souls and the coming together to create a greater purpose. I use forms from sacred geometry to put this concept into form.
At the foundation of each ring’s design is a vesica piscis, two intersecting circles. These circles are equal in size and are offset at an equal distance. Where the two circles overlap, they form a perfect lens. I use this formation in the design to represent the coming together of two equals to create clear vision while still maintaining their autonomy. The second most prominent shape in the design is the triangle. In sacred geometry the triangle is the first closed form that can be made with straight lines and it has 180 degrees. The triangle is the shape associated with the solar plexus chakra, an energy center in the body that governs our human will and power. I use the triangle to represent each of the respective individual’s will in the union, coming together by choice in order to come into wholeness and reflect each other. Each person representing 180 degrees in the 360 degree union.
These designs are created in silver an element of the earth. Silver is the metal of the Goddess, the moon, and divine feminine energy: the life force. The bands, settings, and stones are all silver. I use silver to represent the fertility in relationship and choosing to relate to another, mirror and reflect the qualities of commitment.
A special thank you to everyone who participated in this styled photo shoot!
